Justin Donaton, of Coastwalk Real Estate, sold the most number of homes on Pleasure Island in 2007 (source: MLS Data dated 1/1/2007 – 12/31/2007). This is the second consecutive year that Donaton has been the top producing REALTOR on the island. In 2007, Donaton sold 27 properties in Carolina and Kure Beach. In 2006, Donaton sold 19 homes, which also earned him the #1 ranking. While proud of this accomplishment, Donaton states that the greater accomplishment is the success of his clients. “Every past client is a current reference, and that is what I am most proud of.”

Justin Donaton gravitated to this area after completing college at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he received his Bachelors in Journalism and played varsity Lacrosse.
“While in school, I first visited Carolina Beach when the Marriot was a go-cart track. I fell in love with the beach, the State Park and Ft. Fisher. I love that our island has its own identity and character, and I’m excited at the incredible sence of energy and the leadership that our town now has! In the winter time, you know everybody. In the summertime, you get to meet new friends. It’s nice to have both!
Justin and his wife Aimee (his high school sweetheart), have been married for almost five years, and together for nearly 14! Aimee attended the University of Virginia before receiving her MPD and RD at Chapel Hill. Aimee has recently taken a more active role in Coastwalk as its Director of Operations. While her role at the company is pivotal, her true passion involves helping those less fortunate. Aimee also serves as a Program Director for a non-profit that provides healthcare services and nutritional counseling and diabetes education to lower income families. “If you ask me, that’s the important job,” said Donaton.
In his spare time, Donaton enjoys being outdoors with nature, friends and family. When the swell arrives, he can likely be spotted at one of the areas surf breaks. He also enjoys running, mountain biking and anything he does with his wife or dog!
