There are many parks, dog parks, trails and bike paths. The Carolina Beach State Park is nearly 1,000 acres of exploration and trails. There is also a boat launch area as well.
The elementary school is excellent, and there are a ton of events and gatherings for year round residents on the island! One of the most popular is the Farmer's Market at the Lake on Saturday mornings!
