INSTALLATION OF SIDEWALK ON NORTH SIDE OF K AVENUE – PUBLIC HEARING NOVEMBER 15
The Town Council is considering a request from the Shoreline Access and Parking committee to install a sidewalk on the north side of K Avenue beginning at Third Avenue and continuing to Seventh Avenue.
The sidewalk will begin ten (10) feet from the street and will be five (5) feet in width. There will be no curbing. Click on THIS LINK to see a mock up of the location of the proposed sidewalk.
The Town plans to share the cost of the installation with the Department of Transportation (DOT), as this portion of K Avenue is a state road. The sidewalk will be installed on the DOT Right of Way. The Town’s portion of the cost will be paid from Powell Bill Funds (gas tax).
A public hearing will be held on this proposal on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 5:30 pm, or soon thereafter, at Town Hall in the Council Room.
If you are unable to attend the hearing, comments may be sent to Town Council via the Town Clerk at email@example.com; via fax 910-458-7421; or via mail to the Town Clerk’s attention at 117 Settlers Lane, Kure Beach, NC 28449
