The world-famous NC Azalea Festival celebrates the blooming of one of the South’s signature flowers. Azaleas by the millions fill the Cape Fear Coast with color.  The festival also offers concerts, arts and crafts shows, and garden tours.  

Hunt for Easter eggs at the Battleship North Carolina Easter Egg Carnival or dine in an array of restaurants on the river or by the sea and indulge in savory seafood during Restaurant Week.  Celebrate Mom and thank her for all she does for the family or pack up the family and head to the beach for a little fun in the sun over Memorial weekend! There are weekly fireworks, movies and music at Carolina Beach, the annual Wrightsville Beach Biathlon, and Memorial Day historic observances at Fort Fisher State Historic Site in Kure Beach and aboard the Battleship NC on the river in Wilmington.
