There are so many great things about Kure Beach and Ft Fisher. It truly is one of the prettiest areas on the East Coast. Ft Fisher has beautiful beaches, lots of wildlife, parks, history, the Ft Fisher Aquarium and so much more. For those who enjoy adventure, you can surf, kite board, windsurf, kayak, snorkel, hike and more. All of this while being minutes away from Kure Beach, Carolina Beach, and a short drive to Wilmington NC.

I just wanted to give you a heads up of the upcoming rate change effective July 1^st for the NCIUA/ NCJUA (wind policies).  For coastal counties there will be an 8.9% increase and for the barrier island beach territories the increase will be 19.8%.  If you have a closing at the end of June that may get moved back, please let me know so that we can bind coverage prior to 7-1 to avoid this rate increase.  Please let me know if you have any questions on this.

Beach House Wilmington NC

Its a dream of many to have a house on the beach. Enjoy the beautiful sunrises on the Atlantic Ocean with a beach house in Wilmington. There are three nearby beaches to choose from: Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach and Kure Beach.

Each town offers its own unique character. At Wrightsville Beach, your beach house may be a sprawling ocean front Estate. In Carolina Beach you can find more affordable (but also expensive) beach homes. In Kure Beach, you will find one of the prettiest settings anywhere on the east coast. Nature lovers really enjoy Kure Beach.

A beach house means something different to everyone. Some like classic cottages with pine walls, others enjoy extravangent homes wiht modern features.

Wilmington North Carolina Real Estate home prices.

National home prices are down 29.1% since their Q1 2006 peak.

But over the next five years they are expected to rise 3.9%, according to the latest CoreLogic Case-Shiller report.

We drew on the latest data to identify the best housing markets for the next five years.

The top 15 cities are ranked by the projected annualized change in home prices between Q4 2012 and Q4 2017.

We also included the median home price, median household income, unemployment rate, and the change in home prices since their peak, to offer a broader view of the local economy and housing market.

Note: The median family income and home price is for Q4 2012. Unemployment data is as of February 2013, and population data for the metros is for 2011.

5 Things To Never Carry In Your Wallet (or Purse)

 Do you even know all the things that are in your wallet or purse right now?  Here are five items to look for and remove to limit your risk of identity theft if your wallet is lost or stolen:

¨     Multiple credit cards.  Carry just one card or possibly a debit card.  Don’t carryspecific credit cards (like a department store) or gift cards unless you’re going on a shopping trip.  Thieves often use them without having to show identification.
Good idea:Do a wallet inventory andphotocopy all the cards you own so you can report their loss and replace them if necessary.

¨     Your social securitynumber.  With this most important key to your identity and your name, thieves can do everything from opening new accounts to filing false tax returns. 
Good idea: Memorize your number.  If you have a Medicare card, copy your card and black out the numbers except for the final four.

¨     Your passport.  If you’re going overseas you must travel with it, but that doesn’t mean you have to keep carrying it around.
Good idea: Carry a photocopy and leave the original in your hotel lockbox.

 ¨     Checks.  Your checks show your bank routing and account numbers, and thieves often sign them and get away with it. 
Good idea: If you must carry checks, take just what you might need for that day.  Also try online banking to pay your bills.

¨     Password list.  No one can remember all of them, I know. 
Good idea:  Use an encrypted tool to store your password like the SplashID mobile app or LastPass.com for your computer.
